Matt & Luke & Craig - The Biggest Band on the Planet!!
They've got the looks, the tunes, and a million screaming Brosettes! Welcome to the ONLY fan page you'll ever need!!
How three lads from Surrey conquered the world!!
Right, gather round everyone 'cos this is MEGA!! Bros burst onto the scene in 1986 when twin brothers Matt and Luke Goss teamed up with their best mate Craig Logan at school in Camberley, Surrey. They originally called themselves Caviar (classy, right?!) before switching to Gloss, and finally settling on BROS!
They were spotted by legendary manager Tom Watkins (yes, the Pet Shop Boys bloke!) who saw something special in these three gorgeous lads. And he was totally right - by 1988 they were the BIGGEST band in Britain, with screaming fans mobbing them everywhere they went!!
With 11 Top 40 hits, 3 smash albums, and over 16 million records sold worldwide, Bros aren't just a band - they're a full-on PHENOMENON!! Their fans, the legendary Brosettes, caused more hysteria than anything since Beatlemania. These boys are EVERYTHING!!
Three gorgeous fellas who stole our hearts!!
Born 29th September 1968, Matt is the one with THAT voice and THOSE cheekbones! He's the frontman, the dreamboat, the one who makes every girl in the country weak at the knees! With his floppy blond hair and killer smile, Matt IS Bros. He writes songs that go straight to your heart (and straight to Number One!).
Matt's twin brother and the COOLEST drummer in pop! Luke is the quiet, mysterious one behind the kit - but don't let that fool you, he's just as gorgeous as his brother! He's got this incredible stage presence that makes him impossible to take your eyes off. Tall, dark, and totally fit!
Craig is the bass player and the boys' best mate from school! He might be the quietest of the three, but he's dead important to the Bros sound. Craig's the one keeping it all together while Matt and Luke go mental at the front! A proper nice lad and secretly the brains of the outfit!
Watch the lads in action!! Totally WICKED!!
Every single record is a BANGER!!
Their MASSIVE debut!! 84 weeks in the UK charts, 4.5 million copies sold worldwide, and home to absolute bangers like "When Will I Be Famous?" and "I Owe You Nothing". This album changed EVERYTHING!!
4x PLATINUMA more grown-up sound but still totally WICKED!! Features the brilliant "Too Much" and "Chocolate Box". Peaked at Number 4 in the UK and proved Bros are here to STAY! More mature but just as fab!!
UK #4Matt and Luke as a duo, showing they've still got the magic! Features the ace single "Are You Mine?" and a much more soulful, R&B-tinged sound. The boys grew up and we grew up with them!
UK TOP 20Stuff you NEED to know about the boys!!
The BIGGEST fashion craze of 1988!! Bros wore Grolsch beer bottle tops threaded through the laces of their Doc Marten boots, and literally MILLIONS of fans copied them. The Grolsch company must've been well chuffed! Shops couldn't keep DMs in stock!!
Bros fans were called "Brosettes" and they were MENTAL for the band!! The uniform was strict: faded Levi 501s, black Doc Martens with Grolsch tops, and strategically ripped everything. They caused scenes of hysteria not seen since Beatlemania. Proper screaming and fainting - the works!!
Matt and Luke are identical twins, born on 29th September 1968! Luke is technically the older brother by just a few minutes. They originally formed a band called "Gloss" when they were still teenagers performing at tiny venues in Lightwater, Surrey. From small gigs to Wembley Stadium!!
Before Bros, the lads tried out the name "Caviar" - a bit posh, innit?! Then they went with "Gloss" before their manager Tom Watkins helped them settle on "Bros" (pronounced "Bross"). The name came from Matt and Luke being brothers. Simple but BRILLIANT!!
Their manager Tom Watkins was the same bloke who managed the Pet Shop Boys! And the songwriting credit "The Brothers" on their early hits didn't actually refer to Matt and Luke - it was a pseudonym for Watkins and producer Nicky Graham who wrote the songs! Sneaky!!
"When Will I Be Famous?" was the only Bros single to crack the American Billboard Hot 100! It also went to Number 1 on the UK Dance Chart AND topped the charts in Ireland and Japan. Not bad for a bunch of lads from Surrey, eh?!
In 2017, Matt and Luke reunited for a massive 30th anniversary concert at London's O2 Arena - 28 years to the day since their farewell gig at Wembley! The documentary "Bros: After the Screaming Stops" won Best Documentary at the National Film Awards AND a BAFTA!! The boys are back!!
After Bros, ALL three went on to do mega things! Matt performed for 11 YEARS at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas! Luke became a Hollywood actor in Blade II and Hellboy II! And Craig managed P!NK and became head of Sony BMG's RCA Records! What a bunch of absolute legends!!
